Past Forward

Environmental graphic installation

I had the opportunity to collaborate with MHTN Architects on a large-scale visual timeline for Mount Jordan Middle School—turning a quiet stretch of hallway into a walkable story of human history. The piece weaves together global events, scientific breakthroughs, and cultural moments in a collage-driven aesthetic—mostly black and white with a bold, color-coded system to guide the narrative. It’s meant to feel less like a display and more like an experience—something that sparks curiosity as students move through their day.

This key guide serves as a visual legend for the Mount Jordan Middle School timeline, categorizing historical milestones into six major themes: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math, and World Events. Each category is represented by a distinct color and icon, helping students quickly identify different types of contributions and advancements throughout history. This system enhances the timeline’s clarity, making it an engaging and educational tool that connects the past to modern learning disciplines.
